Serenity Mariee Vercher

Serenity Mariee Vercher attends Los Angeles Trade Tech where she is pursuing an Electrical Engineering certificate. In 10 years, Serenity hopes to own her own electrical engineering company, working on movie sets, theater sets, and more.

Serenity also plans on giving back to her community’s youth, showing them that it doesn’t end because of where you grow up. In her own words: “By fostering creativity and providing resources, I hope to inspire a new generation to express themselves through art and film, steering them away from the violence that claimed my brother’s life.”

Serenity loves to cook and build Legos, and theater. Some of her favorite plays include Hamilton, Romeo and Juliet, Pygmalion, Hamlet, and Oedipus. When it comes to what her biggest accomplishments are, Serenity lists learning to make homemade pasta and that she is the first in her family to go to college.
